“It is a humbling honor to receive the Roland B. Scott–Charles Drew Excellence in Equity Award from the American Society of Hematology.
The work of opening opportunities for all and fostering interest in hematology across every level of our profession is not the achievement of any one individual. It is the result of the efforts, mentorship, and support of the many people with whom I have had the privilege to work throughout my career. Their dedication and commitment to this mission have made this possible, and they too deserve recognition for this honor.
I am deeply grateful to ASH for this award and remain committed to advancing equity, opportunity, and inclusion within hematology.”
