Layth Mula-Hussain, Radiation Oncologist at BC Cancer, Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“When I started my journey in oncology in mid 2002, I was driven by a simple question: how can we deliver better cancer care to people?
Over the years, that question has shaped my work across radiation oncology, cancer care, medical education, and global health—through collaborations, teaching, and research focused on access, equity, and outcomes.
I’m grateful to share a small milestone along the way: my research has reached an h-index of 20, with over 1,300 citations.
More than a number, this reflects the collective effort of mentors, colleagues, and trainees I’ve had the privilege to work with across different settings and regions.
There is still a long way to go in closing gaps in cancer care globally—but I’m excited to keep contributing, learning, and building alongside this community.”
