Laurence Buisseret, Director of the Medical Oncology Department at Institut Jules Bordet, shared on LinkedIn:
“Very happy to see Laetitia Collet recognised with a Best Poster Award for gynecological cancers at ESMO26.
Her work, from the BCTL team at Institut Jules Bordet in collaboration with Centre Léon Bérard, explores why some patients with advanced high-grade serous ovarian cancer benefit less from pembrolizumab.
Using spatial transcriptomics, this study identified tumour-vessel proximity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment as potential markers of reduced benefit from pembrolizumab, while highlighting a subgroup of patients with prolonged benefit.
Congratulations, Laetitia and all co-authors for this achievement and for pushing our understanding of cancer biology and treatment a little further!”
