Laura Haskins, Project Officer at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was a pleasure to be in South Africa last week on the imPACT Review Mission, working alongside a passionate group of national and international experts committed to strengthening cancer control.
Over the course of the week, we engaged with a wide range of stakeholders across government, academia, and healthcare institutions, and visited facilities across the country. These exchanges demonstrated the depth of expertise, dedication, and innovation present within South Africa’s health system.
A particular highlight was the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Health, Dr Motsoaledi for in-depth discussions on the next steps for cancer control in the country.
A sincere thank you to our colleagues from the National Department of Health and all national partners for their openness, leadership, and commitment.
Grateful as well to the international expert team for their collaboration and expertise throughout the process.”
