Kurt Van der Speeten, Prof. of Pharmacology, Prof. of Surgery at Hasselt University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Very proud to share our latest publication in Lancet Onocology of the CAIRO 6 RCT : Perioperative systemic therapy (doublet chemotherapy with neoadjuvant bevacizumab) should not be recommended in all patients with resectable colorectal peritoneal-only metastases, but could be recommended in patients with right-sided colon cancer and synchronous peritoneal metastases.
Once again very encouraging clinical outcomes in patients with resectable CRC peritoneal metastases.
Very honoured to be part of this Dutch-Belgian effort.”
