Korina Pateli – Bell, Founder and President at FairLife Lung Cancer Care, shared on LinkedIn:
“An important step towards early lung cancer detection in Greece. At the Ygeiamou round table, we discussed the need for organised lung cancer screening and equitable access to early diagnosis.
Greeces Alternate Minister of Health, Eirini Agapidaki, announced that screening is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027 across seven designated centres. What resonated with me was her emphasis that screening must go beyond a free examination, ensuring continuity of care from diagnosis to treatment.
I am pleased that through FairLife L.C.C., we continue to contribute to these discussions, bringing the voices of patients and families to the table. I hope this important announcement soon becomes reality.
Because early detection can save lives.”
