A few days ago, I asked a friend a simple question.
“Are you subscribed to OncoDaily TV?”
She smiled and replied,
“What is OncoDaily TV?”
For a moment, I paused. Not because I didn’t know the answer, but because I realized there wasn’t a simple one.
Every year, the oncology community gathers at congresses across the world. Thousands of abstracts are presented. New therapies emerge. Landmark clinical trials redefine standards of care. By the time the meetings close, the headlines have already travelled the globe.
Yet the headlines rarely tell the whole story.
They cannot capture the years of persistence behind a discovery, the difficult decisions that shaped a clinical trial, the collaborations that crossed continents, or the determination of physicians, researchers, nurses, and patient advocates working to improve the lives of people with cancer.
Those stories deserve more than a headline.
They deserve a conversation.
That belief gave birth to OncoDaily TV.
From the beginning, the goal was never simply to report what happened in oncology, but to understand why it happened and what it means for patients, clinicians, researchers, and healthcare systems around the world.
Over the years, OncoDaily TV has become a meeting place for those conversations. Whether reporting from ASCO, ESMO, AACR, EHA, ASTRO, SABCS, WCLC, SIOP Asia, ESMO GI, ELCC, or other major scientific meetings, our focus has remained the same: to look beyond the data and meet the people behind it.
Through original series such as World Health Voices, OncoInfluencers, Empowering Oncologists, Global Health Unpacked, Cancer & Crisis Talks, Into the Body, Open Doors, MedNews Week, and GI News Updates, alongside in-depth interviews, keynote conversations, roundtable discussions, and special reports, OncoDaily TV explores the ideas, discoveries, and challenges shaping modern oncology.
Our conversations bring together an extraordinary range of voices – from ministers of health and leaders of WHO and UICC to presidents of major oncology societies, pioneering scientists, clinicians, nurses, patient advocates, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and young investigators beginning their own journey in cancer research.
Some discussions explore the promise of immunotherapy, precision medicine, artificial intelligence, cell and gene therapies, and cancer vaccines. Others ask more fundamental questions: How do breakthroughs become everyday clinical practice? Why do inequalities in cancer care persist? What can one country learn from another? How do we prepare the next generation of oncology leaders?
These conversations rarely produce simple answers.
Instead, they offer something far more valuable: context.
At a time when information travels faster than ever, context has become one of medicine’s most precious resources. Understanding not only what changed, but why it changed and who made it possible is essential to understanding where oncology is going next.
That is the story OncoDaily TV is committed to telling.
So, if someone asks,
“What is OncoDaily TV?”
Perhaps the answer is this:
It is where the global oncology community comes together to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, learn from one another, and tell the stories behind the science.
Because every breakthrough begins long before the headline. Every breakthrough has a story. And every story has the power to change how we think about cancer.
