“We officially kicked off the Kilele Challenge 2026!
Our first hike at Castle Forest, Mt. Kenya (Kamweti Waterfalls) set a strong foundation for the year ahead. The trail was demanding; dense forest paths, muddy terrain, and steep climbs, yet equally grounding and rejuvenating.
Throughout the journey, cancer survivors and caregivers showed up for one another. Through shared moments of encouragement, resilience, and laughter, we were reminded of the purpose behind this initiative: creating safe spaces for healing, connection, and progress beyond the clinical journey.
This first hike reflects what the KileleChallenge stands for; resilience in action, community in motion, and a commitment to holistic wellness. If this is how we have started, imagine what’s ahead… ”
