“A new partnership… Puts human health and rights at the heart of the work environment.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the General Federation of Jordan Trade Unions (GFJT) have signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the fields of cancer awareness, prevention and protection, and to support workers and their families during the various stages of treatment and recovery.
This partnership includes:
- Promoting awareness of cancer and the importance of early detection.
- Supporting efforts to provide insurance coverage and protection to workers and their families.
- Promoting the rights of workers with cancer during their treatment and recovery journey.
- Implementing awareness campaigns and workshops for workers and employers.
- Encourage more supportive work environments for workers with cancer and their families.
We believe that confronting cancer is not limited to treatment, but also begins with awareness and prevention, all the way to providing support and protection to patients, survivors, and their families.
Together, we work for a more conscious society, and more supportive and safe work environments.”
