“Last week, between 12th and 14th February, I had the enormous pleasure of being a member of the Faculty at the 11th Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancers Congress of the Baş Boyun Kanserleri Derneği (Head and Neck Cancer Society of Turkey) in Antalya.
The meeting was organized and chaired brilliantly by Professor Ömür Karakoyan Çelik, Professor Bülent Karabulut and Professor Serdar Akyildiz.
It was a truly outstanding meeting with excellent contributions across the multidisciplinary spectrum of cancer care. In addition to a wonderful faculty of experienced and knowledgeable specialists who practise in Turkey, I was fortunate enough to share the stage with international world-leaders, including Ehab Hanna, Vincent Gregoire, Senada Koljenovic, Mahmut Özşahin and my dear old friend Mehmet Şen.
The meeting was held in Turkish and English with extraordinarily good quality simultaneous translation, for which I was very grateful.I also want to express my gratitude to the organizers for their amazing hospitality and kindness. In addition, I was deeply honored to have been made an Honorary Member of Baş Boyun Kanserleri Derneği (Head and Neck Cancer Society of Turkey).
This meeting allowed me to make connections which I hope to renew and strengthen in the near future.”
