Kevin Baker, Postdoctoral Researcher at National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy of Denmark, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m honoured to share that I’ve been awarded the Young Talented Cancer Researcher Award (2026–2027) from Kræftens Bekæmpelse (Danish Cancer Society). The award will support my research at CCIT-DK – National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy of Denmark, within the TSMI research group, and I’m very grateful for the trust and support behind this opportunity.
My project aims to identify novel mechanisms by which the extracellular matrix can suppress immune cell function, with the goal of uncovering new drug combinations that improve both the scope and effectiveness of cancer immunotherapies, particularly for cancers with poor prognosis.
I would like to sincerely thank my colleagues and collaborators for the inspiring research environment, Kræftens Bekæmpelse (Danish Cancer Society) for funding and support, and – most importantly – the patients who make this research possible.
We’ve hit the ground running in 2026 and look forward to developing this research further.”
