Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This week, the Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations is conducting Community Health Promoters (CHPs) training at Thika Level 5 Hospital under the “Building Community Capacity for Cancer Prevention and Early Detection” project, supported by AstraZeneca.
The training is currently ongoing in Kiambu County, with parallel sessions also taking place in Kajiado County.
The program is enhancing CHPs’ ability to identify early warning signs of cancer, provide accurate community health education, and facilitate timely referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities.
Overall, the initiative is designed to strengthen early detection, improve referral systems, and ultimately contribute to better cancer outcomes at the community level.”
