Kenji López-Cuevas, Founding President of Cancer Warriors of Mexico, Treasurer at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared on LinkedIn:
“With pride, we share this important first encounter with Dr. Elisabete Weiderpass, Director-General of the IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization of the United Nations, during her visit here in Mexico
In my capacity as Treasurer of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), it is an honor to welcome her to our country and to organize a series of official meetings.
We began with a welcome breakfast hosted by Fundación Cáncer Warriors de México, where we discussed the challenges and opportunities in cancer care. We highlighted the achievements of the past eight years: more than 150,000 patients benefited, the reform of 12 laws, and the mobilization of over 70 million pesos dedicated to hashtag#cancer care and prevention.
Representing Fundación Cáncer Warriors de México:
- Sebastian Garcia Procel, National Coordinator of Public Affairs.
- Kelly Loyo Olea, Coordinator of hashtag#PROPACÁN.
- Fernando Peregrina Martínez, Coordinator of Sports Health and Special Events.
- Benjamín González Rubio Aguilar, Government Affairs Advisor.
We are now heading to the next meeting. We will keep you updated.”
