Kaytlin Talbot, Administrative Manager, Basic Science at Huntsman Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week I spent 4 full days administratively managing the 2026 Biennial Congress for the Metastasis Research Society thanks to Dr. Alana Welm’s role as Society President. Getting to work with her, the MRS board members, the University of Utah Conference and Events management team (Meghan, Carrie, and Clare), and colleagues at the Huntsman Cancer Institute these past several months to bring this conference to life has been nothing short of an absolute privilege.
Meeting so many brilliant individuals from around the world united in a common goal of good was inspiring and all I interacted with welcomed this admin with open arms. Was also fun to put my Japanese language skills to use after so long, which allowed me to build new connections that I hope will continue.
It definitely takes a village to bring about something this impactful and although it doesn’t highlight all, I would like to say a formal thank you to Alana Welm for your trust in me, Thomas Cox and Rajeev Samant for your attention to detail and ensuring I was supported logistically, the Welm OncSci team (Diane Babb, Dee DalPonte, Mercede Campbell, and Jason Carrillo) for all the behind the scenes support leading up, and Whitney Sutterfield and Megan Krebs for all your help!”
