“Last week, Dr Katie Wakeham, had the opportunity to present World Radiotherapy Awareness Day to the EmpowerMe Board.
EmpowerMe is Varian, Siemens Healthineers patient and survivor programme, bringing together patient and consumer advocates who help ensure that the experiences of people who’ve had radiotherapy shape innovation, education, future technologies and ultimately improve care of those with cancer.
It was a valuable opportunity to introduce WRAD to this influential group and explore how we can work together to amplify awareness of radiotherapy and reach more people with cancer, their caregivers and radiotherapy advocates around the world.
