Karen Canfell: New ICCP Portal and Cervical Cancer Elimination Resources

Karen Canfell, Lead of Cancer Elimination Collaboration (CEC) at the University of Sydney, shared a post on LinkedIn:

We are very excited that the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), supported by our team at The Cancer Elimination Collaboration (CEC), Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney has launched a range of resources to advance sustainable and context-specific cervical cancer strategies.

One of these is an online course which harnesses and supports the use of our Cervical Cancer Elimination Planning Tool (EPT), developed with IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization, which brings the power of the impact and investment case data supporting elimination to cancer planners, policy-makers and advocates! The tool is available through IARC’s Global Cancer Observatory, and a new Community of Practice on UICC’s Connect platform, will further support its use in cancer planning.

Another is a new International Cancer Control Partnership (ICCP) portal on cervical cancer elimination – our team supported the IGCS – International Gynecologic Cancer Society in compiling a central repository of more than 250 resources and an interactive map of national cervical cancer elimination strategies!
