Kanad Basu: Soumen Das Receives Vanessa Moss Award for Cancer Health Disparity Day at LGCW 2025

Kanad Basu, Partner and Consultant at ArrowsUP LLP and Director of International Partnership at The Institute of Breast Disease, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Really proud moment — my colleague and business partner, Dr Soumen Das, just received the Vanessa Moss Award for Cancer Health Disparity Day at London Global Cancer Week. He’s the only Asian recipient in recent memory, which speaks volumes about both his work and how much ground we still need to cover in representation.

At The Institute of Breast Disease, we’ve been called the fastest-growing breast cancer awareness initiative in South Asia. That’s encouraging. But what drives us is simpler: we’re focused on early detection, accessible education, and AI-powered technology that actually helps — not adds complexity — to an already overwhelming journey.

Too many families are expected to navigate a system that feels designed to confuse. That needs to change.

In March 2026, we’re launching me.app — a fully integrated platform combining awareness, mental health support, and tools for both patients and caregivers. One place. Real support.

We’ll be unveiling it at St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference and Asia Cancer Consensus Meet 2026, the world’s leading breast cancer summit, which The Institute of Breast Disease is bringing to South Asia for the first time. It’s about time this region had a seat at that table.

Until then — stay healthy, stay grounded, and stay hopeful..”
