Juliana de Sá, Policy Officer European Cancer Organisation, shared a post by European Cancer Organisation on LinkedIn, adding:
“Something important is happening in Bucharest next Monday and you’re invited!
On Monday, 11 May, the European Cancer Organisation, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the Federatia Romana de Fotbal are bringing together leading experts from Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, and across Southeast Europe, united by a single goal: eliminating HPV-related cancers from the region.
This isn’t just an event. it’s the next chapter in a story that’s already being written.”
Quoting European Cancer Organisation‘s post:
“In January last year, stakeholders from across Southeast Europe came together in Sofia to launch a joint declarationcalling for stronger action on HPV prevention – from vaccination and screening to data, coordination and equity.
Since then, more than 40 organisations have signed on, and the work across countries has been accelerating.
On 11 May, we’re heading back to Southeast Europe to take stock of where countries stand today and to shape a shared vision for the road ahead.
What progress has been made? What still needs to happen? Join us to find out.
