“A few weeks ago Rare Cancers Australia launched the Jem Program at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. I was teaching the oncology nurses and professionals in Singapore about integrative oncology and missed the launch . This is a growing area of cancer care – because it makes a difference to people’s lives.
The Jem Program reminds all of the importance and benefits of self care, wellness, integrative oncology and complementary therapies alongside of conventional cancer care.
The navigators and team Rare Cancers Australia get what it means to help people live fully and thrive with a rare cancer. So does our team in the Livingroom Chris O’Brien Lifehouse .
Personally It’s been a very meaningful and fulfilling job to assist people to thrive – it still is! And meaningful to have been involved with RCA in helping produce their optimal care pathways and continue to support all they do .
The Jem program is a great guide and way of understanding the value add of integrative oncology in cancer care. Check it out!
