Juan Valle: Cholangiocarcinoma 2026 – Status Quo, Unmet Needs and Priorities

Juan Valle, Chief Medical Officer at Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I’m pleased to share the publication of an international consensus statement on cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), endorsed by the European Network for the Study of Cholangiocarcinoma.

Collaborative efforts, such as the consensus work ‘Cholangiocarcinoma 2026: status quo, unmet needs and priorities,’ published in Nature Reviews Gastroenterology and Hepatology, help us all better understand its biology and improve therapies.

Our multidisciplinary group provides an up-to-date overview of CCA aetiopathogenesis, clinical management, and emerging therapeutic strategies. We also outline consensus recommendations and key research priorities based on input from international experts.

Grateful to my co-authors, including CCF Founder and CEO Stacie Lindsey and all contributors, for advancing this critical work on behalf of patients and the global CCA community.”
