Joshua Pritchett, Oncologist at Mayo Clinic, Advisor at the Rural Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What’s good Chicago! Looking forward to joining you all at my favorite annual meeting, ASCOQLTY25. This year, I get the immense privilege of attending as a mentor. Jacob Greenmyer, M.D. is a rockstar pediatric hem/onc and palliative care fellow, with a passion for innovation, digital health, and cancer care delivery.
He is a 2025 Kernscholar fellow, and I get to mentor him alongside my esteemed colleague Jennifer L. Ridgeway, Ph.D. (see photos of us together, smiling and also mid-bite, taken at a Kern Alumni event earlier this week) as he grows his vision to expand and adapt our DEFeNDR RPM program for pediatric cancer patients at the Mayo Clinic. See link to his poster below – stop by to learn more about the amazing work he is pioneering!
In addition, I am proud to represent two other initiatives. First, a collaboration of colleagues at the Rural Cancer Institute, Mayo Clinic Health System, Self Regional Healthcare, Northfield Hospital + Clinics, Lakewood Health System on a multi-institutional initiative focused on the detrimental impact of prior authorization processes on rural cancer patients and the practices that serve them.
And second, an ongoing mixed-methods collaboration across Mayo Clinic Health System and Mayo Clinic to better understand barriers to telemedicine utilization among rural cancer patients with differential broad band access.
Links to all below! See you tomorrow!”
