Joshua Omale: Why Gold is the Color of Childhood Cancer Awareness?
Joshua Omale, Campus President at Slum And Rural Health Initiative Network, shared on LinkedIn:
“Day 2 – Why Gold? The Symbol of Childhood Cancer Awareness
Gold is rare, precious, and enduring – just like the lives of children we fight for. That’s why gold is the color of childhood cancer awareness.
Each ribbon, each shade of gold, is not just a symbol – it’s a reminder of resilience, courage, and hope. When we wear gold or share it, we stand in solidarity with children and families facing one of life’s toughest battles.
For me, this is not just about a color. It’s about giving light to a cause that deserves the world’s attention. A cause that became personal the day I lost my brother.
As we continue through September, let’s wear gold, share gold, and most importantly – act in ways that bring real change for children with cancer.”
