Joshua Omale: Loss Became My Drive to Stand With Children
Joshua Omale, Campus President at Slum And Rural Health Initiative Network, shared on LinkedIn:
“Day 1 | Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 2025
Every September, the gold ribbon reminds us of the courage of children and families facing cancer – and of the urgent work still before us.
For me, this journey is personal. I lost my brother to Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and that loss became my drive to stand with children and families so no one has to walk this path alone.
This month, I’ll be sharing daily reflections – stories, insights, and calls to action. My hope is simple: that more people will join in shining a light on childhood cancer, and together we can turn awareness into change.
Because every child deserves the chance to grow, to dream, and to live.”
