During National APP Week, it was wonderful to welcome Rhonda Hoyer and the Tour de APP team to our Wisconsin cancer operations meeting. In the middle of a full agenda, we paused to recognize the expertise, partnership, and continuity APPs bring to care every day.
Advocate Health’s theme this year, ‘Different Paths. One Purpose.’ fits cancer care well. APPs work across specialties, settings, and communities, but share a commitment to helping patients understand difficult decisions, respond when needs change, and experience one connected care team.
Continuity also requires investing in the people who will carry the work forward. Advocate Health supports that growth through initiatives such as our APP Leadership Academy and through broader career pathways, fellowships, mentorship, and professional development.
Congratulations as well to Jennifer Hartlaub on receiving the 2026 National APP Week Legacy Builder Award, recognizing sustained leadership, mentorship, education, innovation, and service.
