Jordan Hansford: New Hope Through Personalized mRNA Cancer Vaccines

Jordan Hansford, Paediatric Oncologist at Women’s and Children’s Hospital and McClurg Brain Cancer Fellow at SAHMRI, shared on LinkedIn:

An update for those who have helped my nephew:

Hi team Ty. Our family thanks you all for your kind donations. We have been very fortunate and a private benefactor has really stepped up and has paid the remainder of the costs for Ty’s vaccine. It has been designed and made, and we are expecting first dose to occur in the matter of days.

While we know we are in it, we are very hopeful given all of the positive news on personalised mRNA vaccines in the last days that this one for gastro-oesophageal cancer will do the same! We cannot thank you all enough for your help to get to this stage. I hope you all can follow Dr. Jordan’s third rule I have for all of my patients…

Have fun everyday! Seeing Ty go through this it just hammers home that we must enjoy what we have everyday…Our love and appreciation to all!”
