John Boyages: Second Edition of “Breast Cancer: Taking Control” Now Available

John Boyages, Breast Cancer Specialist and Radiation Oncologist at Icon Group, shared on LinkedIn:

“Yesterday, I received my first copies of the SECOND EDITION of Breast Cancer: Taking Control.

The original edition, published in 2010, was the first book I had ever written. Writing it was scary. Would people read it-and, more importantly, would it help them?

Sixteen years later, I still receive emails from people around the world telling me how the book empowered them to better understand their diagnosis and take control of their treatment. Those messages mean a great deal to me. Much of the essential advice remains the same, but so much in breast cancer care has changed.

This new 256-page edition features new patient stories and major updates on drug treatment before surgery, molecular profiling, managing the axilla, targeted axillary dissection, partial breast irradiation, safely de-escalating treatment and much more. It also includes a new chapter on work and finances, developed with the generous help of Sue Woodall from LiveWorkCancer.

My sincere thanks to my editor, Felicity Sutton, and the very talented John Bull from Publishing Art Australia, who brought the book to life so beautifully. After many months of writing, reviewing, and refining, it was a special moment to finally hold the finished book in my hands.

Breast Cancer: Taking Control-Second Edition is now available worldwide through Amazon. More details here.”
