”It was a pleasure to spend time at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center with Dr. Stephen Nimer, Dr. Antonio Iavarone, Lauren Ashley Whitmore, and many of the faculty and leaders driving innovation in cancer research and care.
Touring the Phase I Clinic offered a firsthand look at how discoveries begin the journey from the laboratory to new treatment options for patients. I also enjoyed learning more about Sylvester’s work in translational science, community outreach, education, and population science. It’s an impressive example of how research, clinical care, and education come together to advance cancer care at an academic medical center.
Congratulations to the entire Sylvester team on being named the No. 1 cancer program in Florida and No. 23 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. A well-earned recognition!
