During our discussion, Senator Verdin heard firsthand about the unique needs of rural oncology-from expanding access to innovative treatments and clinical trials to addressing PBM reform, priorauthorization, workforce shortages, and the critical role of telehealth in ensuring timely, equitable care for patients who live far from major cancer centers. These are not abstract policy issues-they directly impact whether patients receive lifesaving care without unnecessary delays.
