“Our discussion today about the ASCO Association PAC reminded me of something simple but important: one voice matters, but a unified voice can move policy.
Since its beginning in 2000, ASCOPAC has continued to grow and help oncology build relationships in Washington. We are still young in this work, but we are making progress. We are learning, connecting, and showing up for the issues that affect cancer care.
Cancer does not choose age, background, ZIP code, or political party. It can affect anyone, at any time. That is why oncology needs a clear, collective voice for our patients.
For those who are eligible and able, participation is voluntary, but it helps sustain that voice. And just as importantly, we can help bring others into the conversation so they understand why advocacy matters.
