“Both Hannatu Ayuba and I were honored to receive the 2026 OncoDaily Yvonne Award for Community Oncology. Through that recognition, we connected – and today, we are proud to be collaborating on something we are both deeply passionate about: improving cancer health literacy.
Together, Oncology101.org, the Cancer Consciousness initiative and the TeleOncologyHub are working to make evidence-based cancer education accessible in local Nigerian languages, helping patients, families, and communities better understand cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, and treatment-related side effects.
This partnership is about more than translating information. It is about empowering communities, reducing stigma, supporting patient navigators, and ensuring that every patient has access to understandable, trustworthy cancer education.
