“I am deeply humbled and honored to receive the VCOM Preceptor of the Year Award.
Teaching has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. In Latin, the word doctor means teacher, and I believe educating and mentoring the next generation of physicians is both a privilege and a responsibility.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the opportunity to work with outstanding VCOM students. Their dedication, curiosity, compassion, and commitment to serving patients give me great confidence in the future of medicine. VCOM’s mission and values-care, empathy, compassion, service, and whole-person medicine-are clearly reflected in its students.
I am also proud that these values align closely with the culture we strive to foster at Self Regional Healthcare. Under the leadership of Matthew Logan, and our exceptional team, we are committed to providing patient-centered care while creating an environment where learning, collaboration, and innovation can thrive.
