“I am truly honored to share that I have been invited to serve on the Health Policy Committee of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
For those of us practicing oncology in the community, health policy is not abstract. It directly shapes our ability to care for patients, ensure access to treatment, support clinical research, and advocate for the oncology workforce.
I am especially passionate about advancing health literacy, patient communication, and equitable access to cancer care – particularly for patients treated outside large academic centers.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these important discussions alongside colleagues deeply committed to improving cancer care. I am also thankful for the inspiration and mentorship of leaders and colleagues such as Robin Zon, Jasmine Kamboj, Julie Gralow, Clifford Hudis, Emily Touloukian, Ruiling Yuan, Wade Swenson whose dedication to advocacy and patient care continues to inspire many of us in oncology.
