JJ Singleton Shares Experience at PCORI Annual Meeting and Highlights Lessons From Patient-Centered Clinical Research

JJ Singleton, Research Advocate at Fight Colorectal Cancer, shared on LinkedIn:

“DC it’s been fun but time to head home and rest up before heading to Denver on November 1st․

I was so honored to be able to attend Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) annual meeting it’s different than most conferences I go to but loved learning from and meeting people on other sections of health care and how they go about patient centered clinical trials․

DC as always is just a different kind of city good bad and everything in-between but had some amazing Italia, Thai, and bar food as well as seeing some good friends like Ben White and watching some good football.

I got reminded this week to be accepting of different things even if it’s not what I was expecting, that I am blessed and honored to represent my many different communities in the cancer world at these events and I definitely needed that especially as I start a crazy travel month.

Also got to go see my amazing tattoo artist Brooke Lamm sculpture in the Smithsonian zoo․

Fingers crossed no delays here and in Charlotte.”
