“A decade, 10 years, 120 months or 8/8/2016 I was waiting on the results of my scans to see if the latest line of cancer treatment was working. I knew I was running out of time and options.
The call came and it was bad news the cancer was growing faster, this was a time when I could see myself dying, it was also the first mention of a clinical trial.
I ended up failing one more cancer treatment cocktail before I got on my life saving trial.
Looking back It’s hard to put into words how depressed and scared I was but I survived and today I’m in Chicago with amazing cancer advocates and oncologist and health professionals talking about COSMO2026 – Collaboration for Outcomes Using Social Media in Oncology.
