JJ Singleton: A Skydiving Dream Beyond Cancer

JJ Singleton, Research Advocate at Fight Colorectal Cancer, adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivor, shared on LinkedIn:

“Back in the airport and off again, this time is for fun though. This time is special I’m lucky enough to get to do something I’ve wanted to do as long as I can remember I get to go Skydiving and I’m doing it in NJ to look at the NYC skyline thanks to some amazing friends.

It’s hard to believe I’m finally doing this after so many setbacks over the years due to my health and more. To say I’m excited is an understatement. This and maybe a few before and after pictures are going to be about it because this is extremely personal to me selfishly and I want this for me no underlying motivation no big reason other than it’s something I’ve always wanted to do way before I got sick.

So for the next few days my life won’t be as a cancer patient im just JJ a 38 year old kid that gets to live out one of his dreams.

That said S/O Colon Cancer Coalition switched up the travel shirt as I’m slacking on unpacking and laundry from last trip but this is one of my favorites and big S/O to Amy Barefoot Ostomate who is going to absolutely kill it this weekend walking in nyswimweek.”
