JJ Singleton, Research Advocate at Fight Colorectal Cancer, adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivor, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“No rest just yet, yes I just got home from Chicago 52 hours before I left and yes I did have treatment round 184 Wednesday all before I left this morning to come to Winston Salem to speak and sit on a panel at the Ready, Set, Go: Navigate Your Cancer Journey conference thanks to the amazing Angelic Warrior Foundation and Center For Food Equity in Medicine.
It was an honor to talk about my cancer journey and clinical trial journey but more importantly talk to the crowd about what needs to change and be done to improve all aspects for patients especially those in marginalized communities.
I am lucky I’m alive I know that, If you look at the numbers I’m not supposed to be here but I am and I will take that gift and that blessing to share to educate to help and to make this cancer world better for the next generation no matter how tired or bad I feel.
Always love seeing Man Up To Cancer and Joe Bullock.”
