JJ Singleton: 10 Years Since the First Symptoms and the Road Still Being Walked

JJ Singleton, Research Advocate at Fight Colorectal Cancer, adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivor, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I’m not going to lie it’s a tough part of the year right now from around May 16th to June 20th my life is filled with a lot of anniversaries in the worst way. This year it’s 10 years since that throbbing showed back up in the abdomen and led me starting down the road I’m still walking today

Scans biopsy appointments blood work travel to Duke and more it was a lot an It’s a lot to remember, add to that I’m in the middle of some test and scans it’s overwhelming for anyone

But yet I’m here I’m living and I’m thankful at least I try to be most of the day, I am lucky and I am blessed to have some amazing friends and the opportunities to do some amazing work to help me

But for this Friday let’s to watch the new Star Wars movie and escape into a galaxy far far away.”
