Jim Baranski, Executive Director at Lung Cancer Foundation of America, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last night I had the privilege of attending the launch of the Susan Wojcicki Foundation – a new force in the fight against lung cancer.
Their mission: save lives by transforming early detection and prevention through breakthrough research, technology, and education.
Sound familiar? It should. That’s the same fight we wage every day at the Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
At LCFA, one of our core beliefs is that our job is to create a platform for lung cancer patients to advocate for more research and awareness. Susan Wojcicki understood that better than almost anyone – as CEO of YouTube, she built the platform that has allowed patients, caregivers, and creators to tell their stories and change the conversation around this disease.
Seeing the Wojcicki family now commit serious resources – and join the lung cancer community to this cause is exactly the kind of momentum lung cancer needs!
More voices. More funding. More urgency. Lung cancer remains the N1 cancer killer, and nights like this give me real hope that’s changing.
And special shout out to Alicia Keys for raising a powerful voice for lung cancer patients everywhere!”
