“In 2023, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital hosted the first conference on Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Hospitalist Medicine. As children with catastrophic illnesses require more complex care, treatment advances continue, and workforce dynamics evolve, hospitalist programs in PHO can be a solution to these challenges and a career opportunity for physicians and advanced practice providers.
On April 8-9, 2027, St. Jude will host the second PHO Hospitalist Conference where we will dive deeper into the utility, composition, function and future of PHO hospitalist programs. We invite hospitalist physicians and APPs, administrators, division directors and program leaders, as well as those considering whether a hospitalist program is an option for their institution, to be a part of this conversation.
