“2025 Wins Across Advocate Health’s National Service Lines
A few weeks ago our Cancer, Neurosciences, and Heart and Vascular teams met to reflect on our 2025 building year and plan for the work of 2026. It’s been an extraordinary year of learning, harnessing the strength and scale of Advocate Health to advance enterprise pathways, research, and access — delivering measurable impact across our geographies.
As we head into 2026, we to pause and celebrate the work we did, together, in 2025, including:
Cancer: +7% new patients, +54% office visits, ~3,500 unique patients navigated each quarter; with multiple ongoing and new accreditations across our Divisions. As a newly combined service line we had well over 8000 cancer clinical trial accruals across all Divisions of Advocate Health.
Neurosciences: Enterprise Telestroke expansion; anti‑amyloid services in every division; a new neurology residency launched; 82 publications, 8 grants submitted, $1M clinical intervention grant and an important strategic partnership with Carolinas Neurosurgery and Spine Associates.
Heart and Vascular: Through initial care standardization and virtual care delivery:
3200 CABG and Surgical valve patients received standardized pre-,peri-, and post- operative care achieving a 62% reduction in mortality and 40% reduction in readmission compared to similar patients captured in the National STS data base. Over 1800 hypertension patients received care in our Hypertension bootcamp – 70% achieved goal in an average of 74 days. Over 35,000 Advocate Health patients who have cardiac implantable electronic devices now have their devices managed on a common software platform receiving a standard care plan.
This only happened because the people in this picture made intentional choices to embrace a unified vision, have the tenacity to follow-through and tackle challenges, and have the ability to listen deeply, closely and humbly. I am grateful for each of them, and am inspired by their commitment to improving the health of our patients, whether that’s one at a time or through large implementations. These leaders are empowering our Advocate Health teams to truly deliver “the best of what we are, wherever you are.”
Take note: This team is redefining care — for you, for us, for ALL.”
