Jeff Hunnicutt, Chief Executive Officer at Highlands Oncology Group, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“After nearly eight years as CEO of Highlands Oncology Group, this week marks the end of an incredible chapter in my career.
When I joined Highlands in 2018, I had the opportunity to become the first CEO in the organization’s history. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an extraordinary team that continually pushed the boundaries of what community oncology can achieve.
Together, we expanded access to care, grew our research program, developed new service lines, opened 3 new cancer centers, embraced technology and innovation, and built a culture that was recognized as a certified Great Place to Work. More importantly, we never lost sight of the reason we come to work every day: serving patients and their families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
I am incredibly grateful to the physicians, leaders, staff, partners, and friends who have been part of this journey. The relationships and experiences I’ve gained at Highlands will stay with me for a lifetime.
As for what’s next, I’m excited to take some time to explore new opportunities and continue pursuing my passion for helping healthcare organizations leverage technology, innovation, and operational excellence to better serve patients.
The future of community oncology is bright, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.”
