Jeff Allen: 10 AI Models in Assessing HER2 Expression in Breast Cancer

Jeff Allen, President and CEO of Friends of Cancer Research, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues, published in Modern Pathology:

“New publication: Artificial intelligence-enabled technologies are rapidly being developed to help diagnose and analyze cancers. In this new manuscript, we evaluate the consistency of results provided by different digital pathology tools used to evaluate a key biomarker in breast cancer. It provides a case example for how common datasets can be used to assess performance and ensure accuracy for new tools that help guide the next generation of targeted therapies.

This work was done through the Friends of Cancer Research Digital PATH Project and is part of our broader diagnostic harmonization portfolio of projects. We are grateful to all of our partners in this innovative research!
