Moawia Mohammed Ali Elhassan: Jeannette Parkes – A Dedicated Leader in Radiation Oncology
Moawia Mohammed Ali Elhassan, Associate Professor at the University of Gezira, shared a post by Paediatric Radiation Oncology Society (PROS) on LinkedIn, adding:
”It’s been an absolute honor to have been mentored by Prof. Jeannette Parkes 12 years ago at the University of Cape Town, UCT Faculty of Health Sciences and Groote Schuur Hospital Trust. Our collaboration and the opportunity to later publish together on radiotherapy in brain tumors in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) were an incredible experience. Her immense efforts to improve access to radiotherapy across sub-Saharan Africa through training & mentorship are truly inspiring and have made a profound impact.
Thank you, Jeanette, for being such a dedicated leader in our field.”
