Thank you to the doctors, nurses and entire team who cared for me during my recovery. I chose to receive my treatment here in Africa because I believe in our institutions, our health professionals and the quality we are capable of delivering on this continent.
This is the Africa we are building: confident in our people, investing in our own systems, and taking greater ownership of our health future.
From 23–27 November, we will bring this conversation to Addis Ababa at CPHIA 2026, as Africa and the world come together to advance health security, sovereignty and resilience.
