“Today was a very special moment at Africa CDC.
I had the honour of welcoming Dr. Senait Fisseha, Vice President of Global Programs at the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, whose leadership, conviction and commitment to Africa continue to inspire so many of us.
And there was a surprise.
We unveiled a statue in her honour, recognising a woman whose impact is already part of the story of stronger African institutions and a more sovereign future for health on our continent.
Senait reminds us that legacy is built through the choices we make, the institutions we strengthen, the people we invest in and the courage to believe that Africa can shape its own future.
Thank you, Senait, for your friendship, your leadership and for continuing to stand with Africa CDC and with Africa.
