Jayati Sampat About the Great Experience at Illuminate 3.0 Conference

Jayati Sampat, a physiotherapist specializing in cancer care at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

Illuminate 3.0 was more than a conference for me, it was a reminder of why I chose oncology.

Listening to leaders speak so passionately about their work reinforced something powerful: cancer care is evolving beyond tumor control. The conversations were not just about protocols and survival curves, but about dignity, function, resilience, fertility, nutrition, pain, and survivorship. About the human being living through cancer.

Presenting on oncology rehabilitation and advocating for exercise as medicine felt deeply aligned with this shift. Movement is more than physical recovery. It restores confidence, autonomy, and hope in a journey that often feels overwhelming.

I left inspired, grounded, and more certain than ever that supportive care must be foundational, not optional.

Because true cancer care doesn’t just aim to prolong life – it must protect the quality of living it.

It was also inspiring to witness leadership Sewanti Limaye that brings such vision together seamlessly. When clarity of purpose meets aligned action, impactful platforms like this become possible.

Life truly comes full circle when you find yourself being felicitated by Dr. Suresh H. Advani, Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri – a pioneer whose contributions have shaped the landscape of oncology in India.

Grateful for the learning. Grateful for the conversations. Grateful to contribute.”
