Javier Martin-Broto, Sarcoma Medical Oncologist at the University Hospital Fundacion Jimenez Diaz, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On January 22nd and 23rd, we had the privilege of diving into the importance of local therapies for patients with sarcomas. The symposium, organized by the Sarcoma Committee of Fundación Jimenez Díaz University Hospital and SELNET, brought together leading experts in the field: Dr. Dorian García from Mexico City, Nicolas Devaud from Santiago, Rodrigo Muñoz from São Paulo, and Matias Chacón from Buenos Aires.
The program covered a wide range of topics, including proton therapy, hypofractionated radiotherapy, combining radiotherapy with trabectedin, retroperitoneal surgery, limb surgery, reconstruction, thoracic surgery, and crucial issues in pathological and radiological diagnosis. With 255 participants joining online, we can confidently say we achieved our goal. Presentations will soon be available on the SELNET website.
On the second day, Montiel Jiménez, Nicolas Devaud, and Dorian García shared critical surgical insights. We’re grateful to everyone for their hard work and honored to have had Stefanie Bolle with us as well.”
