“Amazing day today…
Thanks Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center for inviting us for the Summit on Cancer Health Disparities.
Stellar discussions on inequities on various levels in cancer care. We need to continue to strive to do better for our patients!
Our panel discussed, ‘Advocacy in Action’- improving access through Policy and community partnerships! Grateful to share the stage with spectacular panel – Brian Persing, Shelley Fuld Nasso and Nicole Saint Clair.
Amazing to catch up and connect with my dear friends and colleagues- Grzegorz Nowakowski, Martha Mims, Dr Ana Maria Lopez, Brian Persing, Banu Symington, Hina Khan, Don S. Dizon. On my way out, bumped into Wade Swenson, who has a panel tomorrow on Rural Cancer Care. Also, great to connect with Stephanie A. Haddad and finally meet Binay Shah.
Congratulations to Martha Mims of Baylor College of Medicine and Deepti Behl of Mayo Clinic Hetty Carraway for the distinguished faculty awards and Bipul Lionel and Sri Tantravahi for Volunteer of the year awards!
Also, spent time in morning for a virtual American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting- great to connect with- Sybil Green, Kristen Ciombor, Sonali Smith, Leila Hamroun, Kelsey Kirkwood,
Charles Kamen and Christopher Lathan – stimulating conversations about real issues that impact oncology workforce and quality cancer care.
So grateful for the opportunities and these friendships.”
