“Childhood cancer outcomes can change dramatically when children are diagnosed earlier, health workers are trained, guidelines are in place, and essential medicines are accessible.
At UNGA81 in New York, I met with the team from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to discuss our partnership and the next phase of the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer in the Americas.
Our partnership is focused on implementation—turning evidence and innovation into stronger national programs that can improve outcomes for children and families.
As we work toward our shared ambition of at least 60% childhood cancer survival by 2030, we will continue to address barriers to timely diagnosis and treatment, strengthen the health workforce, and expand access to the medicines and care children need.”
