“A week out from WCLC26 and I’m still thinking about Seoul. Two posters, one poster tour, the Early Career Workshop, and more hallway conversations than I could keep track of.
But what stayed with me was the people I finally met collaborators in person after working together over email and Zoom, reconnected with mentors I only see a couple of times a year, and met new mentors and collaborators I’m already excited to work with.
My family came along too, so between sessions I got to see Seoul with them. Conference weeks don’t usually come with memories like that. Back at my desk, the data feels different now.
There are faces attached to it. Left Seoul inspired, and grateful to IASLC and everyone who made that week so special. Already looking forward to the next one. See if you can find our selfie together!”
